body jerks or severe twitching

i have a 2 1/2 yr. old daughter who was diagnosed with a rare disease called metachromatic leukodystrophy....she has only had 1 seizure that we know of, but i have been very concerned about these "body jerks" or "severe twitching" during her sleep! PLEASE HELP!
