my 1 1/2 yr old daughter was diagnosed with a glioblastoma mulitforme when she was 8 weeks old. after surgery when she was 7mths old she was left with a right sided weakness and her thumb stays under her hand in a fist. i was wondering if there is anything i can do to help her achieve more movement in her arm and leg?

Is she getting physical therapy services? If not, talk to her pediatrician about a referral for early intervention services through your local health department, or you could just call your health department and find out what you need to do to get her assessed. They will provide physical therapy free of charge if she qualifies from the assessment. They'll also be able to offer you ideas for how to help her yourself at home.

We've had very good experience with PT on a 2 year old with a malignant ependymoma

An occupational therapist would be helpful with her upper extremity strength. The OT would also fabricate or order a hand splint to help with her thumb positioning.
