Hi there. Well, during an ultrasound, they look at the baby and due lots of calculations on measurement. They can see some physical issues if they are present and there are some signs they can detect if a baby has down syndrome or something like that. But mental illness? No, they can't detect this from an ultrasound. I would believe a baby does NOT have mental health issues until proven otherwise later on in life. good luck
