Cigarette smell on husbands clothing, can it effect my 9 mo. old baby

My husband is a smoker and I am not. Since I found out I was pregant, he stopped smoking around me, and since my daughter was born last April, he would smoke outside of the house, the car, etc etc.. but he always brings back in with him the heaviest scent of cigarette. He used to change his smoked in tee, wash his face and hands before holding our baby, but thats when she was new... now he has gotten lazy and goes directly to her after smoking, reeking of it and all.. I am so concerned, i want him to quit, but he is very set on not being "ready" to quit, does it raise any threating issues by him doing this???
