by bev09, Sep 09, 2009 03:37PM
My daughter has asthma and had just had her ige blood test results back, included in the test was dog and cat dander. The levels for dog dander was 17.50, her grass pollen was 52.30. The doctor said the dog dander was relativley low considering we have a dog who is a yorkie terrier cross is this true, as she loves the dog so much and would never give it up. all the other were also low, house dust mite, cat dander, mould, but her immoglobian levels were 2245, please help me on the dog thing!

I'd keep your dog, especially since she loves him so much. Just keep him really clean and well brushed. I've heard that it actually can help allergies if you have a little exposure to them. She could also start taking some allergy medications. Talk to your doc about which ones.
