RAST: results

My son is allergic to dairy and eggs. He gets symptoms if he has these and his RAST tests were 10 and 30 respectively. Last time he was tested he had 0.6 as a result for wheat. The doctor said that this was very low but did show the possible start of something. Both the doctor and dietician have said to reduce wheat but not avoid it completely which is what I've done. I cannot see any physical reaction whatsoever to wheat. I worry that I should remove wheat completely from his diet and that I'm just being lazy not doing this. A wheat, dairy, and egg free diet seems way more restricted than just egg and dairy free.

Does anyone know what the current wisdom is on such a low positive RAST result?  It seems to me they change recommendations. I have been told to give him cooked dairy if he can tolerate it (he can have some biscuits that have whey powder) but a few years ago it was all avoid any traces of dairy.

What is the range on the labs .. 10 & 30 with what being the high end.  Sorry, but it's been awhile since my daughter was tested and we get her results in Class !-VI.

It's hard to say what to do; I don't know the protocol per se, but what I do know is that my daughter was absolutely fine with all nuts and recently was retested and the nuts have gotten worse and so have the reactions gotten worse.  Sometimes it takes time for the antibody levels to keep moving upwards and then you get a reaction and nobody can predict how big or small that first reaction may be.
