When to see a doctor?

When to see a doctor?

My 6 yr old was bitten by some insect this past Sunday possibly a fly as we saw some flying around; it immediately turned into a welt.  We put some hand sanitizer on the area (only thing we had with us) and went on our day.  The next day the one on her leg is ok but the one that was on the back of her hand has made her hand red and swollen.  It is still itchy and bothers her somewhat.  I don't like how swollen her hand is.  It isn't hot to the touch but tender to rub it.  I have given her 2 doses of liquid benadryl so far and spray on an anti itch medication.
Could these welts be from a fly?  We live in the Central Florida area.  Thanks!

Hi and Welcome ... could it be a spider bite (non poisonous) ?

How is she doing as of now?  Sometimes Motrin helps, too.

If you are concerned you can always call your pediatrician and ask them for advice. If they want to see it they will have you come in or go to urgent care. Be careful not to give her too much Benadryl.
