My two year old son catches viral fever every month and during this phase he has very high fever and develops rash all over his body...doctors say its is probably roseola virus....can u please tell me what causes this virus and what should i do to keep my son away from this virus....because the whole process is very tiring for my son and he has lost considerably a lot of weight...

To: sulab ...
Does he have any signs of allergy other than this rash?  Keep a food diary I would say and see if you can pinpoint it to food reaction if you suspect allergies .. ALLERGIES can CAUSE a fever in some kids .. it is all part of the immune system.  But, you can also catch different varieities of Roseola w/high fever ..  My son had 104 allergic croup after playing outside on a terribly high pollen day .. eyes shut and croup .. a good ped put the pieces togethr for us!
