I just finished reading your comments. Okay, you say your nine year old son does not have dandruff. A couple of things come to mind. Could it be an allergic reaction to a certain brand of shampoo? I once got an allergic reaction to some shampoo and my scalp itched too ? Nothing personal, but it could be a hygiene issue. You son should be having a bath or shower every day especially not that it is summer. When children play outside, they're exposed to all kinds of things including dust, dirt, sand etc. These things in ones hair could make a child's scalp itch too. A good choice of shampoo is Johnson's Baby Shampoo which is not only good for babies because it is so gentle but for older children too because it has a no tears formula. Hope this helps. Eve
