9-year old child experiencing recurrent pins and needles sensation in both arms and legs..

HI there im curious to see if anyone elses children have experienced this situation, my 9 yr old daughter has been experiencing a pins and needles sensation in her lower legs and from her shoulders down to her elbows..this comes and goes and i really dismissed this at first thinking it was just from the feeling you get when your foot falls asleep etc.. She never really told me when this was happening but the other night she asked why this is still happening its been several months since she has spoke of this last. I do know she has had some major growth spurts and is now about 5ft tall..and the tallest in her class..maybe this growth spurt is related? Otherwise i just called her pediatrician to schedule a blood workup thinking this could be an autoimmune issue? They said to hold off and see if there was any pain associated to call back. I feel like know one is taking it very seriously..and although it isnt painful to my daughter it is annoying as she stated..it just come at no apparent times..DOes anyone have any advice for me? Im not sure who to call at this point. There is also no associated redness or swelling at the areas she is talking about. ANy responses or advice would be greatly appreciated .thanks in advance!!!!

Did she suffer an injury prior to developing these symptoms? (It doesn't have to be a particularly dramatic accident.) One of my daughters had somewhat similar problems (but more serious, she was a semi-invalid) and after four years even the best pediatric specialists could not diagnose her problem. I had mentioned she was in a car crash and then banged her head once after that. But my information was shrugged off.

We had been out of the country for a great many years and so I was not aware of the increasing interest in alternative medicine. But someone suggested I take her to a very well-known chiropractor. I did. He confirmed that her spine and neck were out of alignment, very possibly the result of an accident, and that her symptoms were consistent with compressed nerves. It took two and a half weeks for her to be pain free and smiling, That was in April. By summer she was riding a bicycle. I am not a particular fan of chiropracty per se, since some practitioners seem to be ham-fisted. We lucked out on our choice. He was slow and cautious and gave very helpful advice. He does not subject children to x-rays as he feels it affects their growth.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
I would make an appointment with a pediatric neurologist for a second opinion.
