Can I still go to a chiropractor with a cervical fusion

If I had a fusion C4-C7 January 31st of this year can I go to a chiropractor for my mid and lower back?  Also, is it out of the question to investigate the Upper Cervical Care you talk about since I had the fusion?  My problems now (I think) are in my mid back.  thank you.

Terri,

If this were me, I would not let someone manipulate my neck with rotational adjustments if I had a fusion from C4-C7.

I would, however, allow an Upper Cervical specialist to examine my upper cervical spine. In this case, look for what's known as a NUCCA, Atlas Orthogonal or Grostic practitioner in your area.

Full spine adjustments delivered with instruments known as the Pro-Adjuster or the Arthro-Stim would be okay for you to receive as well.

I've safely cared for numerous patients with cervical fusion using Upper Cervical Care - so that's a good place to start.

Warm wishes,
AT
