Over a month ago, I awakened to my jaw popping. I rolled over and heard several additional cracking sounds from various joints. Later on I noticed my neck cracks terribly upon turning it. A week later, my throat pops quite often when I swallow. I can be sitting using the mouse at my computer at work and my shoulder will pop. Both wrists pop during use. My right knee now pops. Sometimes when I breathe my spine pops. The neck bones that pop bother me a lot when driving and I try to avoid checking my blind spot just to prevent that awful crunch. Have some odd burning sensations on occassion and not so much muscle pain as a feeling on occasion of something pressing down on my muscles.
I also recently developed floaters in my eyes that are fairly severe. I understand that hyaluronic acid plays a role in joints and vitrieous humour. Was treated in June for EM Lyme Rash. Re-tested via blood test for thyroid, lyme, lupus -- all negative.
Question: What can be done to stop all the cracking, snapping, popping especially in the neck, throat and shoulder? I am very upset. What would you do if you had these perplexing symptoms.
Well, if it were me, I'd visit an Upper Cervical specialist. Their procedure tends to strengthen and stabilize the joints of the body, thereby decreasing crepitus. You can find one of these doctors in your area here: www.UpCspine.com
