Just started seeing a chiropractor and have a question

Hi there, I just started seeing a chiropractor again, have many times before..and it does help.

My question is what kind of scan's / tests can be done, or can I ask for that will show what/where the problem is?

I asked when I went the first time, and he just checked my spine and said that it was hard as a rock, caused by tension, and gave me an adjustment, which helped greatly...but I would like to know more...

last week it was mostly my lower back..now this week my lower back is fine, and my upper back/shoulders and neck are in pain???

any help would be great!

thanks

Wonderful technology exists in the profession today for doctors and patients. Computerized Thermal Imaging (Para-spinal thermal imaging) is a great one. From there, surface EMG scans, electronic range of motion measurements, and even heart rate variability scanners are all being used in modern chiropractic practices.

Personally, I feel it is absolutely essential to use some form of objective criteria to monitor spinal conditions. Whether through x-ray, or the technology mentioned above, it really is imperative.

Relying solely on palpation (feeling with hands) is entirely too subjective.

Warm wishes,
AT

Thanks for the info.  I will insist on the above mentioned..I did ask for it the first time I went..I don't know if he was just in a rush.  But I thought it strange not to do more.

thanks again!
