lumbar fusion surgery with chiropractic care

i had a lumbar fusion in october of 2009, i am sick of taking pain meds that only work for a short time and getting injections that dont control the pain.  i have looked at going to a chiropractor but i am concerned because of the 2 rods, 6 screws, 2 metal cages and 2 bone grafts.  do you believe this to be safe?  what is the likelihood of it helping with my pain management? anything would help thanks.

Start by looking for an Upper Cervical specialist in your area... Someone who uses the Atlas Orthogonal, NUCCA, Grostic, Blair, or Palmer methods would be ideal. This approach to chiropractic helps the entire spine, but doesn't involve any twisting or popping. The gentle nature of it is ideal for circumstances such as these.
