severe pain adn visual disturbances

about 5 months ago I was in a car wreck and gradually and progressively after that i started to have severe pain in my neck and shoulder and head (pressure like and constant, varied in severity but was always there).  About a month later i started to have double vision and blurred vision that worsened when i coughed sneezed or strained.  My PCP ordered a CT Scan which showed a Chiari Malformation and thus an MRI was done and it showed a 4mm herniation.  the NL did not feel this was a Chiari nor the cause of my problems.  He basically blew me off saying he did not know of the cause and it must be stress.  The pain continued and I eventually went to a Chiropractor who stated this was all whiplash related and he could treat me.  I have since been going 3 times a week for several weeks and I am getting worse.  i now have bladder problems and vertigo and numbness and tingling in my arms and legs.  I am worried that I did have a Chiari and the neck adjustments are making it worse.

my question is is it possible that this is still whiplash related and things just get worse before they get better (as this is what my Chiropractor told me.)  I am worried I am in the wrong hands.  I strongly believe in the help of chiropractics I am just worried I am with the wrong doctor and he is going to cause permanent damage.

thank you for your time.

oh I also wanted to add this is only a small portion of the symptoms I have been experiencing but for general purposes I only stated the most troubling ones.
