2 500mg tablets of azithromycin

by marco23, Apr 10, 2009 02:50PM
I took 2 500mg tablets of azithromycin.

How long would it take the meds to make my lymph nodes disappear? They are located in my groin are and are small and tender, nothing bulging and noticeable to the eye.

Thank you to anyone who helps.

Have you tested positive for anything, or did you just take these yourself?

If your nodes were tender because of chlamydia, then it can take up to 7 days to fully work.

I haven't tested positive yet, but they gave me meds for chlamydia and gonorrhea anyways.

If I got diarrhea from the anti-biotics (it's not bad, I still only go to the bathroom once a day) how long do you think it would last?

The diarrhea shouldn't last more than a day or so.

If the nodes were swollen from gonorrhea or chlamydia, then you should see improvement in a week or so.

Its a shame they didn't test you.

Oh and zithromax won't cure gonorrhea.

They did, it takes them a week for them to tell me though. My diarrhea lasted 2 days, but I only go once a day. The past 2 days it's been much better, but my stools are a bit discolored. Nothing to worry about right?

I think the zithromax is for something in the urethra.

They are probably assuming its chlamydia or NGU, but the tests will confirm that if you have it.

I wouldn't worry about the discoloration just yet.  If it lingers more than a week after finishing the meds, then you might talk to your doctor about it.
