2nd Chlamydia treatment

I tested positive for chlamydia on 11/11/11 and was given suprax single dose and azithromax 4 pills. After 5 days symptoms started to subside and thought it was gone. 2 weeks later I started getting symptoms again, frequent urination, discomfort in testicles, slight burning after urination and itchy and irritation in tip of penis. I thought it might be psychological until i started getting a little discharge again. My doctor put me on Suprax again single dose and Doxycycline 2 pills/day  for 7 days. I just finished medicine and followed all rules. I am worried because it seemed like the symptoms were subsiding slower than first time. I woke up this morning and still had a little discharge and still can feel discomfort in urethra and irritation at the tip of penis. I have an doc appt. in a week to be retested and tested for HIV and any other STD's.
Is it possible I still have this infection? Should I go back sooner to the doc or wait until my appt (which will be 2 weeks after 2nd treatment)? In reference to post treatment, when is it good to go back to get retested?  Thx

All symptoms can take 2 weeks to stop, so testing this early after medication will not really tell you anything. You need to wait at least 3 weeks (4 is better) to retest.

Ok thanks. Do you think I should have been tested first before receiving the second dose of med which were 1 month apart? I was still having symptoms.

Also, you said 3 or 4 weeks after finishing the medicine or after the first test?

I would have to make sure it was still chlamydia and not a yeast infection.

3-4 weeks after medication so you know the medication is out of the system and that any left over bacteria is out of the system.

Is there a way to check for a yeast infection? I read about a saliva test for candida, but don't know how accurate it is.
I still have irritation around the head of my penis and minor discomfort in the urethra. Especially if i sit for too long, in between my testicles and anus hurt like when you have been riding on a bicycle seat too long. Also, it seems as though one of my testicles swells up then goes away.
If I drink beer the next day symptoms seem to be worse.

  I went back to my doc for a urine test for yeast and swab for STI's. Both came back negative. But I still have irritation at tip of my penis and a little discharge every now and again and testiclular swelling in 1 or both at least 1 time a week. My doc seems done with me what should I do next? Thx

Also I was taking supplements prior to the test call herbal including oil of oregano. The deck was a false negative for chlamydia thanks again

Could the supplements be the cause of false-negative test for chlamydia?

No they should not, also with the medication you don't have chlamydia. Revisit the Dr or maybe a uriologist at this point.
