5 days after sex is too early for tested on Chalmydia?

by Petr, Nov 05, 2009 01:36PM
Hi there! I had sex with a woman and five days later I did a test on Chlamydia that came out negative. I'm worried if it's too early for test? That woman called me and said that she has Chlamydia - that's why I worry about it. P.S. I used condoms.

Testing for chlamydia is more accurate if done at least a week after exposure.  But condoms offer very significant protection from std's like chlamydia.  Honestly, I would not worry too much, but if it really bothers you, then test again.  Better to be sure and have peace of mind.
