After one dose treatment, am i still infected?

by fieldplayer21, May 09, 2009 09:01PM
I was given the one dose pill pack for chlamydia two days ago. Luck has it, i had sex last night and the condom broke. Am i still infected and should i prepare myself for a long talk with my "friend"?
If i am still infected how long until the antibiotics kill it off completely?

To: everyone

Most likely yes, and have probably given it to your "friend" he needs to be tested in a few days to make sure he didn't get it. and you need to follow up with your doctor to make sure you rid the infection... in a month from taking the meds. And i advise having protected sex until then and even so after the fact.

you are suppose to wait 7 days after taking the medication to have sex.

Well. I don;t know if you two are exclusive or just friends with benefits... but either way if you two haven't been together too long then just inform him that you have were infected by a previous partner and apologize for engaging in sexual relations before the seven day mark.  But you do have to tell him to ensure he doesn't have it and doesn't infect others... I hope every thing goes well =)
