Antibiotics for Chlamydia..confused

I wrote before about my recent visit to my gyno and how I may have chlamydia. I am sort of confused how this could have gotten past a year of antibiotics. I have had to take the Z-pack which is 6 doses of 250mg of Zithromycin April of 2007  and last February I was on Erythromycin at 250 mg 3x a day for 10 days. Are these antibiotics just not strong enough doses to have done anything? I know I may not have an STD and maybe I am still in denial. I am just wondering if with this information I should relax a bit about this, or should I still be concerned.

Hi Sara -

It's doubtful you would have had chlamydia that wouldn't have been cured by a z-pak, but it might not have been cured by erythromycin.

When do you get the results back?
