Can Chlamydia be passed on by a peson who is tested negative

I was tested for Chlamydia and provend Negative. My wife was tested at the same time and was Positive.
She denies intercourse with anyone else and states that she could only have got it from me.

Is this correct when I was proven negative. ?

I noted in earlier responses that the test can be false - how often is this the case.
Am asking as our marriage rests upon such an answer. Thank you in advance

If you tested negative, then you do not have chlamydia. False results do not occur that often. The tests they use these days are very accurate. But in this case one of you had a false result or she is lying and trying to put the blame on you.

Oh, and that would definitely be so if you are indeed positive and have been faithful.
