Can this be chlamydia?

Can this be chlamydia?

Short details.. 3 weeks post final encounter with female suspect who had herpes in scab state on her mouth.. however, my symptoms I am being told does not sound like herpes..so I am thinking it might be gonorhea or chlamydia. I have dull aching, slight burning pain on sides of my groin where testicles meet thighs. My testicles have a dragging feeling, slight burn when I urinate but nothing major (could even be in my mind the burning). I also have tender pain in my upper neck right directly below my ear and jaw bone.. The pain on side of my groin has been present and increasing daily for 5 days.. no visible outbreak which is making me believe it may not be herpes. the first encounter, she had said she had an upper respiratory infection and bronchitis, and it wasn't contagious, and I didnt think twice to get unprotected oral sex. And then I found out she had herpes on her mouth. So i pretty much was foolish but in the interest of moving forward and not chastising myself..I need to find out what this is, I am going to see the doctor again now that I have this groin pain, but in the meantime can anyone tell me what this might be?

Symptoms do not really link up to a STD like gonorrhea or chlamydia. So I really don't think this is STD related.

Yeah I suppose I do not have any tell tale symptom, however, I am having a hard time with this as I was just fine until this encounter and now I am having all of these coincidences.. I am scared that whatever I am feeling is just the. beginning stage and it will bloom into symptoms and conclude with STD's. I have to have something ,its not possible to have the encounter I had, and all of a sudden be having these symptoms like this.

Oh yes it is possible to have an encounter and then get mystery symptoms that are not STD related but in your mind you think they have to be and that is all you focus on.

Vance,

I def. agree that mystery symptoms and the mind playing tricks occur, but.. also the expression.. if it smells like garbage, it probably is garbage.. i feel applies here. the only reason I am not dead convinced that I def caught an STD is because I haven't had full blown symptoms, however, I have been asking on numerous threads if what I am describing sounds like it could be beginning stages of a full blown OB, or, is the fact that I have had these symptoms for a little over a week without OB indicative that this isn't an STD or namely Clamydia (chlamydia),Herpes, or Gonorhea.? Thank you for your advice/help.. it really helps me!

Anxiety plays a huge role, our symptoms are not indicative of STds .

Ok. So I saw a doctor and he believes I have epididymitis as my pain is mainly in my groin, testicles, and a slight burn when I urinate. However, he did not mention that STD's could have brought this Epidid. on... but I read that Chlamydia and Gonorhea could possibly have something to do with this. I also have a very small, barely noticeable white natured bump on base of my penis, no burn, not really itchy, a little pain.. I am hoping and believe it is an ingrown hair although I cannot see a hair sticking out of it.. I am a little worried about this though..soo what are thoughts on this? and does anyone know about epididymitis and if I should get tested for STD's immediately because of this. THANK YOU so much for your help

Chlamydia and gonorrhea do not cause bumps.

O yeah I know that. I am saying.. did Chlamydia or gonorrhea cause the epididymitis.. I read that epididymitis might be caused by either the two.. thought it was strange my doctor didn't suggest that I get tested for the two considering I have this, and that I had an encounter that obviously I am frightened about, etc.

I cannot speculate on why your doctor did not test you for them.  But in looking at your original post, you said nothing about unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Chlamydia and gonorrhea is not likely to transmit from oral sex because they are very very very rare to transmit to the mouth in the first place. Based on this, he may not have felt the epid. was caused by chlamydia or gonorrhea. It is also possible your symptoms are caused by prostatitis.

I did have unprotected sex back in beginning of Feb, which from what I read, that symptoms for chlam and gonor. can take some time to appear. It is now over 5 weeks post encounter, I still have dull aching periodic pain in groin, and some dragging feeling/sensitivity in testicles (specially at night), and i have red little rashes that slightly itch on my pubic area and base of penis. what would discharge look like? I read that it is clear and appears after urinating? how would i be able to tell if its a discharge or just an extra drip of urine being caused due to my potential kidney problem? Based upon my symptoms, disregarding the doctor's opinion (doctor's arent always right) has anything  i described indicate that either of the two could have caused the epidid. And also, how long does epidid last? I read in urology forum that people have it for years possibly... jeez

Symptoms of chlamydia and gonorrhea can take some time to appear in WOMEN. Only about 50% of men versus 75% of women will not get symptoms of chlamydia before it gets to the more serious symptoms. Only about 5% of men DO NOT GET SYMPTOMS of gonorrhea. So, the information you got is a bit incorrect.  If you have chlamydia or gonorrhea, you would know it...and you definitely would test positive by now.  You need to test to confirm that one of them caused the epid.
