Chamlydia & prostate

I've been thinking about my past and wondering I was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate over 10 years ago. Since then I have had trouble with it frequency with urinated, lower back pain, sore balls.
So I have several questions.
1. Is it possible to just recently being diagnosed with chamlydia in my prostate. That over the years I have gone to free health clinics for std checks. That they didn't let the culture sit long enough that it came back with a false negative. Because I have had problems with my prostate for years even taking antibotics. Could I have it in my prostate for years with no real bad systoms.

2. the reason I ask is my ex-wife recently had a baby, would they test for std's while she is pregant. Or is there signs the baby is infected, the baby has been to the doc several times.

3. My current wife and I are taking cipro, I have my doubts after talking in this forum about this medicine. The doc said that because it was in my prostate I had to take cipro and he said it would also clear up my wife. Now how long should I wait after finishing the medicine to get an accurate test result.

1 - No.  If you had negative tests, then you weren't infected before.

2 - They almost always test for stds during pregnancy.  She should contact her doctor and ask if they did.

3 - Actually, levaquin would have been a better choice, as that treats prostatitis, and chlamydia.

Your doc needs to check the CDC Treatment Guidelines, and his PDR.
