. I went and got tested and indeed it came back positive for Chlamydia and negative for Gonorrhea. Well we both took the treatment and everything went back to normal. She only took the treatment for Chlamydia but I took the treatment for both even though my results came back negative. She went back for her retest and she came back positive for both, and I have no symptoms at all right now, so i'm clueless as to how this is happening?
So she tested positive for chlamydia and you also tested positive for it but negative for gonorrhea. Was she tested for gonorrhea the 1st time?
This can be a couple of things...false positive for gonorrhea and chlamydia this time, that she was not cured the 1st time or someone is going outside of the relationship and has contracted this.
with a condom before I was treated but never thought she would get reinfected and I got treated the next week and at her retest both came back positive. We can understand the chlamydia coming back positive if she was reinfected from us having sex before my treatment was completed, but not for the gonorrhea coming back positive.
If she has not treated gonorrhea she should retest. If positive, then you either had a false negative...very, very very rare. Or someone is going outside the relationship.
If you have only had protected sex in the past I find it hard to believe that you brought this into the relationship.
Yeah well she got treated today and I'm going to get retested for those two also today & I'm very surprised that it came back positive and yes i've only had protected sex in the past...excluding oral and I understand it can be transmitted that way.
Gonorrhea could be transmitted from oral...but low risk. Chlamydia is very very very rare from oral sex.
How long ago was the last time you received oral from the previous relationship?
