with anyone in at least 5 years, I have NO symptoms and trying to find out what the percentage is for false positives. I understand this may be tough to find out because of people not wanting to admit they have been messing around with someone else. I did have chlamydia about 25 years ago and have been married a couple of times without my partner ever testing positive that I know of. My doctor is going to retest but I am just baffled!
In certain communities, where the tests are comming out negative, there is a propensitiy for false positives. When I had read up on this literature a whlie back ago, I found that interesting. I forgot the name of the scientist who's law this reflects, but false negatives do happen. Its a statistical realistic account.
Let us know if indeed it was a false positive test.
So relieved to have received a phone call back from my physician's office saying they had mixed up my samples with someone elses. So sorry for the person who really does have a positive test but glad they figured it out! Thanks for your help.
