Chlamydia PID

Is it possible to have been infected my Chlamydia a couple years ago that developped into a PID and never have symptoms? Will a Pap test show infection/inflammation ?

on the internet, i found sites that say that you can have a PID for very long time, 6-7 years and develop no symptoms?? true?

It is uncommon to have chlamydia for more then 18-24 months and not know it. I have never heard of PID showing no symptoms. Some times when a pap is done they test for chlamydia, other times they don't. If you are concerend then ask for the specific test.
