Chlamydia Problems

I was just diagnosed with Chlamydia and my doctor gave me a dose of antibiotics immediately and said that this would cure it. I was reading up on the net and some places say that antibiotics does not cure it.

I am supposed to be getting married in a few months. My fiance and I are not sexually active, we are waiting until after marriage. He is worried because a doctor told him that it does not cure and that he has to wait a year before we have sex and he should not use the same towel or drink from the same glass as me.

Please give me some more information and how long should i wait to do another test to see if i am cured?

Where are you reading all this stuff?

Chlamydia is easily curable with the antibiotics.  He doesn't have to wait a year, or avoid sharing drinks with you, etc.

Chlaymydia is definitely curable after a dose of antibiotics, and should be cured in 24 hours, depending on antibiotics,

I hope your Doctor goes back to Medical School because i know for a 150% fact its cured, hope you get married now!!

It won't be cured in 24 hours - it can take a week for the meds to work, so its important to wait 7 days to have sex.
