Chlamydia Testing

Ok! I went and got tested in July and they said I had Chamydia. I got treated and took the meds. I went back 3 weeks later for my follow up test at the Women's Clinic and it came back negative. THEN two weeks later I kept getting the same symptoms like the burning during urination and so I went to the health department to get tested there for it and it came back positive!! How is that possible? My partner's test came back negative also! I'm so confused! Is there anything that can make a Chlamydia Test come back positive?

I wish I had a great explanation for you, but I wonder if your negative test was a false negative, or if your partner or you have been with someone else that needs treatment.  For example, if you slept with another guy and got chlamydia that way, then you and your partner were treated, but the other guy wasn't, you could get chlamydia again if you had unprotected sex with him again.

Were you re-treated?  Was your partner?

I went to the doctor again today and they said I had Vaginitis.... Could that of made the test positive?  Because I slept with the man I'm with now after my Chlamydia was cured.. Thats why his test came back negative... I don't know...

I am so confused.............May 18th 09 my boyfriend got a annual test and it was negative..........may 19th 2010 he had another test and it was positive for clymidia. I went to the doctor and my test was negative.
Today, I don't know why he went and got tested again and I am so angry that he got tested again..................how could he be positive and me be negative and why is he getting retested a month later? He was treated I was not as my doctor said there is no reason to since I was negative for the last few years actually I have never had anything concerning STD's HELP
