Chlamydia cured but swollen testicle, watery discharge remains

Dear all,

I was diagnosed with Chlamydia over the summer, and since have taken (in order) Augmentin (before Chlamyida diagnosis), Doxycycline, Azithromycin (x2), Ciproflaxicin (not sure when in the order) and finally Levoflaxin. The last was prescribed to me by a Urologist after being treated at a GUM. Both the GUM and the Urologist have said the Chlamydia has been cured and according to their swab tests, there is absolutely no sign of any infection.

With the Doxy and Azithromycin the symptoms lessened for a while but returned, nothing happened with the Levoflaxin and I cannot remember for the Cipro.

The urologist said that it could take three months for the symptoms to clear up. A watery discharge, worse in the mornings and a swollen left testicle 'tube' remain. I can feel its presence but no pain and very little discomfort - the closest to this would be a very dull, very mild ache where my testicle is swollen. Urination normal I think, but it's been so long I'm not sure I can remember the difference. What I worry about is that I imagine the Azithromycin cured the Chlamydia over the summer, and so the three months should be up soon. I have had the symptoms since June and nothing seems to have been able to get rid of them.

I am abroad and do feel a bit pushed out of the door sometimes, and describing things in another language makes things more difficult (although I do speak it well). Should I wait the three months or go back and ask them to look for something else? I do feel nothing will change or improve at the moment by waiting but that's what the urologist has told me to do. At least they are happy the Chlamydia is cured but I would really like to shake these symptoms as soon as possible. I'm mid 20s, otherwise healthy and active, only other condition perhaps increase in dry skin.

Many thanks for any help.

I would follow up with a Dr to discuss further issues. I see no reason for these symptoms to continue.
