I had symptoms of chlamydia or gonorrhea that passed. When I got tested I was negative for both. Is it possible that the bacteria is hidden and it never really goes away without antibiotics or is it true that these types of infection can be fought off by the immune system alone.
If you have it then you would test positive for it. The body can clear the infection it's self. Or maybe you didn't have either and had another bacteria.
After testing negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea at the health department with the swab test, I let it be and the infection seemed to be gone after a month or so, but one morning more recently a few weeks after I thought it was gone, I saw some discharge
sample first and then did the swab test for another chlamydia and gonorrhea culture. I found it odd that they gave me the swab test immediately following my urination. I said something, but they didn't seem to think it would affect the results, which leads
me to believe I am not dealing with professionals. This also made me think that my negative results could have come from urinating too close to the swab test at the health department, since they did not even ask of when the last time I urinated was and I did not even think of it. That could mean all the test I have had are useless, especially since I only had discharge
in the mornings and I pee quite frequently, so the bacteria could be untraceable. My doctor and most other information sources say that these types of infections do not go away on their own. I wonder if this is some sort of scare tactic to encourage more people to get treated. Not to say that is a bad tatic to employ, but I can't really find anywhere with solid scientific proof that says these infections can be cleared by the body naturally.I am concerned with this especially now because I would hate to be carrying a bacteria and continuously test negative for it and not be able to have it treated if I need it.
Discharge form these STD's happen all times during the day not just in the morning. It is recommended to get treatement because there is no guarantee that the body will clear it and more times then not does not clear it. Also would you want to deal with discharge
