Chlamydia problem

Hi,

I have been with my husband for 10 years and believe I may have contracted chlamydia before we met, possibly 9 months before meeting him, as i did have symptoms, I regret to say I did not get these checked or recieve treatment for chlamydia.  We have been trying to conceive for last 5 months without success so I went to local GUM and got tested for chlamydia plus other stds by swab which all came back negative, she also checked visually and confirmed i did not have PID


1) Could the chlamydia have been missed by swab and now be further into my system.
2) Surely me and my husband would have just kept passing the chlamydia back and forth to each other as i was on the pill when we met and never used condoms, so would never have getting rid of it and would show on my swab.
3) Could I have had PID and cleared it without treatment before being examined.
4) can you have chlamydia for 10 years without knowing

Hi

You don't report any pain now or symptoms so its likely that you don't have chalmydia.
Symptoms of chlamydia you felt back then might have been many other things.


1) unlikely  --it is not further into your system.

3) PID doesn't clear.  If you have it you would know.
4) unlikely.
