Chlamydia vs. Male Yeast Infection

I made the mistake of cheating on my girlfriend a while back, sometime last summer.  Only once though.  Like a *******, I didn't use protection.  I knew the girl and she said, afterwards, when the problem arose, that she had been tested not too long before us doin' it and tested negative for everything.  She's military and said that they make them test for STD's regularly (not so sure on that one, honestly).  I went and got tested at the local center and tested negative.  My sypmtoms were a slight itch inside the head of the penis and a little discharge.  I figure, perhaps it's some sort of male yeast infection, but everytime I try to look up information on male yeast infections it comes up with chlamydia.  My sypmtoms went away after a little over a week.  Now, a little over a week ago, the syomtoms have returned, but now seem to be going away again!  Is it more likely to be chlamydia, or some type of yeast infection?  Please help me!

Also, the first time that the symptoms went away they stayed gone for almost five months.  Anything?

In my almost 10 years in the (US) military, i was never tested for STD's not once.  Nor anybody I know, unless they asked of course.
