Chlamydia

by amandamae911, Aug 20, 2009 09:48AM
Okay, so here is my question. This last Feb I recieved a call possibly being exposed to Chlamydia. Well, anyways I went and got tested in Feb and guess what test came back neg. Well, since Feb I have only been w/  one man, whom I am living w/ who has stated that he hasnt been w/ anyone in like 2 years. I went and got my annual exam and just got a call saying that my chlamydia test came back postive. Now how is that possible, since the one in Feb was negative, and only been w/ one guy since. Could it be a false postive??

It could be a false positive, or it could have originally been a false negative.  The false negative is more likely to occur than a false positive afterwards.  Get retested, and have your man get tested too.  Remember if you both have it get treatment together, or if only one has it, refrain from sex for as long as advised by your doctor.
