Chlamydia

I had oral performed on me by a woman with no protection. I have read on here that it is very rare to zero chance to get Chlamydia this way. Is this true and if so why can't you get chlamydia in your throat? Because of no symptoms I'am wondering if I should get tested.

It is very rare at best, if it even happens.  Chlamydia just doesn't thrive in the throat as it does in the genitals.

If you've only had oral this one time, and never had sex, you really don't need to be tested for anything if you have no symptoms.

I just recently tested positive for chlamydia. I have had one partner since October of last year. In January of this year I had pneumonia and was placed on IV rocephin and Zpack. What are the chances that I have had the infection since last year when my tests were all negative? My partner has had no symptoms and neither have I. I just went for the routine pap smear.

My doctor told me that Chlamydia in the throat is increasingly common in gay men, so I see no reason why women who perform oral sex on men can't have it in their throats as well.  I tested positive for chlamydia in July after receiving a ******** from another gay man.  I had no other exposures (sad, I know) since my last STD screening in December 08 which all came back as negative.  My first sex in over six months was that ******** -- 2 weeks later, I tested positive for chlamydia.  It happens.
