Chronic prostatitis or chlamydia?

I was diagnosed as having chronic prostatitis two years ago. Recently I had a urinary infection and was told to have anST test as the doctor thought I was too young to have the prostatitis. the test was positive for a bacterial infection and I was given a chlamydia drug to take. My question is this; could the problem be caused by the prostatitis and not an STD?

Did they test you specifically for chlamydia?  You should find out.  The only way to know are through lab tests.
