Clamidia Resistance

During the last 6 weeks I have taken two single dosis of Azithromicyn to treat Clamidia. Can I take it again or should I change medications. I am concern of Antibiotic Resistance.

The first time I did not get medical help, I was not sure if I had it. The second time, I went to the lab and tested positive, and I took the single dose again. What are the chances of my partner also having Chlamidya?

Well if you have had unprotected sex with partner then the chances are probably pretty good.

Partner needs to get tested and treated no matter if the test is positive or negative. I would recommend another test for you after 1 month since your last medication.

I understand that my parter has a good chance of being infected  ( I am the one that had chlamydia and got treatment, he did not know I had it) and did not get treatment then most likely I will have it again this is why I need to take it again. This time both of us will get the treatment. So this will be the third time i Take it in a 6 week period.

You should probably talk to the doctor who diagnosed you.  He/she may prescribe you an alternative medication to prevent resistance.
