by peter131, Jan 26, 2009 10:31AM
im a 19 year old male, recently i have noticed that before i urinate sometimes a clear thick discharge comes out if i squeeze my penis the once, it comes out in a tiny amount and only comes at times when i have not urinated for a long time such as when i wake up in the mornings, when i come back from work as i do not go toilet whilst i am at work. i do not have any other symptoms. a few months back i went and got tested for HIV, chlamidiya, hepatitus (hepatitis) b and c, gonorhea, thrush, herpies (herpes) and some other ones like bacterial vaginalis etc. all of these tests came back negative, i have not had sex since then. what could be cuasing this penile discharge? i would appricate any answers

It might be from holding your urine - its not good to do that, or it could be just the way your body works.  It might also be a sign of a urinary tract infection.

Did you tell your doctor about this?  If you haven't, you should.  Testing is great, but an exam and fully describing your symptoms is a key part of good treatment.

yh no i did not tell the doctor of this as it did not happen at that time. Could you explain what you mean by urinary tract infection. further more is there a certain type of doctor i should go to and are you a doctor?

No, I am not a doctor.  A urinary tract infection is an infection in your bladder and urethra.  You can find more by googling it.

If the discharge is a new symptom for you, you do need to get it checked.  You can start with your regular doctor.
