Confused about CT amd Ectopic!

Confused about CT amd Ectopic!

28 year old female and 34 year old male

I had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy last fall (10/10). I began experiencing deep pain during intercourse, only in certain positions, a few months later (1/11). I did not think much of it.

Recently (9/3/11) I began spotting between periods as well as bleeding during and after sex. I decided to go to the doctor's office. The P.A. that I saw last week did a swab test. She told me that I had BV. She gave me two perscriptions (Doxycycline 100mg and Metronidazol 500mg), and told me that the rest of my test results would be back in a week. I took both scripts, and refrained from sexual activity as directed.

I just recieved notification that I tested positive for Chlamydia. I was told that if I followed the previous orders that I will not require further treatment. That I should tell my boyfriend to be tested, and to follow-up in 3 weeks.

I have not cheated on my boyfriend of 2+ years, and am certain that he did not cheat as well (although I will be talking to him about this today).

In retro-spect, he had a bout of conjuctivitis around the same time I began the spotting (9/3/11). He told me that he has an issue with this from time to time. I bought over the counter drops that cleared the conjuctivitis in a few days.

My questions are:
1) Could the ectopic be related to the CT infection?
2) If so, how did the CT go undetected for 1 1/2 years, if not longer?
3) Could the antibiotic taken post-surgery have effected my vaginal flora, giving the dormant CT an opportunity to flourish?
4) Could I have managed to just not catch the bacteria from my boyfriend until now, if he was the carrier?
5) Do you think that the conjuctivitis has had any role in any of this?

Thank you in advance for any answers that you may give me!!!!!
