with a girl for about a month. Don't think I got [whatever this is] from her because before me she had a boyfriend for like 3 years. Then I had unprotected sex
with this girl that lives below me and I don't know really how much she gets around, probably not much, but I know she was with a pretty scummy dumb football player for a while. Anyways (you all think I'm a manwhore now..) I started a relationship with a girl that I really like but she will only give me oral sex! and that started almost exactly a month ago. So that's where I stand. This is all relevant, bear with me.
So 3 days ago I developed tonsillitis, a fever, began getting dizzy, and got chills. At the same time, it started burning when I peed. It's really only when I JUST start peeing, but once I'm going it's fine. I went to the nurse and she asked me about all these things, I told her that I had a fever, dizziness, chills, tonsillitis and that it burned when i peed. She made me pee in a cup and is getting it tested for me (only been 2 days) but she prescribed me a Z-pack (6 pills) and a single dose of something I forget what. I can ask her though if it helps answer. Finally, I checked up with the nurse again and she asked me if I had any discharge. I had VERY little so I just said no.. but the tip of my urethra is very tender, a bit red, and before I go pee there is a very thin crustiness holding the hole shut.
So my questions are:
1. What do you think I have? I can't wait to find out it's driving me crazy since I have to sit in my room all day b/c of the fever I can't go to class.
2. Should I wait for the test results before I say anything to my partner yet? (we aren't hooking up since it started to burn, wouldn't do that to her)
3. How likely is it to transfer [whatever you think I have] via oral sex? She doesn't swallow by the way...
4. Since I started hooking up with her almost exactly a month ago (and the nurse said that symptoms usually show up after a month) how likely is this to be from her?
THANK YOU SO MUCH, long I know but I have been freaking out, got a lot of questions.
The only thing that may be related to an std is the burning when you urinate. It is possible you got NGU. Oral std's are rare in general so, the possibility of you getting an std from her is rare as well. NGU is an std but is not classified as chlamydia or gonorrhea. It is suspected to be caused by chlamydia but not proven.
My theory is that there is bacteria in the mouth that doesn't mesh well with the male genital tract. Again, this is all speculation. Your results will tell all.
There are different antibiotics that are used to treat all kinds of bacteria. The treatment preferred is usually consistent with those used to treat chlamydia. Again, this is because chlamydia is suspected to cause NGU- Non-gonoccocal urethritis. You didn't mention what z-pack you were given. But still, please remember that all depends on your results.
I just got back from the doc's. My GF has been giving me blowjobs and she recently had a cold sore on her lips. I most likely got type 1 herpes. fck. I would have rather had gonn or the clap, at least they're curable. I'm talking to her today about it... should be an unpleasant convo. She's only been with 3 guys and she gave ME herpes, wtf.
The doc said that now i can spread herpes to anyone I kiss or have sex with. Is it true that it is far less likely to spread when ur not having an outbreak? I will always wear a condom from this point forward by the way, unfortunately learned the hard way. then again I got an std from not having sex. FML
