Effects of Alcohol and azithromycin

In January i visited a clinic and got tested for STDs my test results came back clear of everything. I was abstinent for a few months then i started dating my current boyfriend. We had sex during this time. He went to the clinic and got tested  shortly after and discovered he had contacted Chlamydia before we were intimate most likely passing it on to me as well. The doctor put  him on some medication called Azithromycin 500 mg. they are three tablets taken once a day for three days. i, on the other hand, do not have insurance so i wasnt able to visit a doctor. i went to a pharmacy which had a doctor there i told him my situation and he gave me the same pills in case i did contract the infection. i started taking the pills. On day one i didnt not drink but on day two i did have about 5 or 6 beers, day three i didn't drink either. my question is, will drinking those beers have any effect on the medication i took. is it possible that it didnt work because of the fact that i drank?

The possibility is there but the only way to find out for sure is to get tested.  You can google free std clinics in your area and get tested there.
