Frequent urination, worried sick!

Frequent urination, worried sick!

Hi,

I am a 27 year old male and had unprotected vaginal intercourse on 29th May, by the 31st I was urinating more often than usual. I read that this was both a symptom of chlamydia and Gono, this obviously stressed me out and I have been anxious ever since. Not sleeping, not eating, nausea, not wanting to interact with anyone etc. I  got a full STD screen on 2nd June and I am awaiting the results but they told me my ph urine test was a little high and I am worried sick! My question are as follows,

1) Is 2 days too soon to develop symptoms for chlamyda and gono ?
2) Is frequent urination alone with no other symptoms a sign of an Std?
3) Does the high ph in my urine mean I definitely have something?

Thanks in advance.

1) possibly
2) It can be.  Every person who gets an std does not get all the symptoms.
3) No, it does not mean you definitely have something.  Changes in your diet, vitamins, etc. can change the pH in your urine.

So after a week my frequent urination seems to be subsiding, not sure what's going on considering I thought the incubation period for most bacteria was around a week at the earliest?  Not got my results yet, expect it to be some sort of NSU though.

So everything came back negative. I was was experiencing symptoms 2 days after contact and got tested on the fourth. Would that have been too early? I read on here that Dr HHH said 2 days should be enough for a +ve test

One week is best but the tests are sensitive these days so....  If you still continue to have symptoms, you need to follow up with your doctor.

One last question. I am going to have a follow up appointment cause I only got tested 4 days after possible exposure. My symptoms of frequent urination have totally cleared up now, but I was symptomatic at the time of the test. So my question is, if my symptoms were due to chalmydia would it have caused a positive result even though it was only 4 days after exposure?

Thanks

Possibly, but not likely.  The incubation period for chlamydia is 5-7 days for a positive result. Let us know what the result is.
