How affective is treatment

Does anyone know how affective the treatment for chlamyida is. I go for my follow up appointment on the 17th of April and am a little nervous. I went to see my doctor last week because of discharge still happening .She took a look at me and didn't see any problems. I went in again this week and she saw like two pieces of yeast but didn't want to treat me for that because it was such a little amount. She also ran a urine sample which said i did not have a uti but that there was still about have as much bacteria in my urine as would be what they would consider a uti. She has now put me on cipro since i have been complaining that it burns when I pee. She does not feel at this time that the std infection is still there since i took the medication as prescribed. What are the odds that the treatment did not work and that is now what is causing it to burn when i use the restroom. I realize that it takes time for the body to go back to normal completly but it does not really make since to me why after treatment ( about two two weeks later ) i would get a slight burnign sensation if the bacteria from the infection was not already killed. Can someone help answer these questions? The only thing i can definalty say is that when there is a discharge  it is not as heavy as it was prior to treatment or as often. The doctor thinks it could be my body readjusting but i am not so sure about that .

Stay on your doctor.  I am having the same problems.  I was positive in January.  I took the medication but in March, I was having similar symptoms.  I got tested and my cervix was severely red with a lot of discharge.  The test came back negative this time.  Here it is in April, I am still having the same discharge.    I know I cannot have chlamydia anymore because I took 2 doses of zithromax, and one cycle of doxycycline.  After much talking with Auntijessie, it seems I may have cervicitis as a result.  She says it is difficult to treat.

If your doctor won't  listen to your concerns and you feel something is wrong, then get a second opinion.

You could still have some inflammation left, so give it a few more days, take some advil if you can take it safely, and go from there.

If you are concerned about stds, give it a few more weeks, and go to an std clinic and test.  I see that you are in Maine - there are STD clinics in Portland, Lewiston and Bangor.  There are also Planned Parenthoods all over Southern Maine.  (Can you tell I'm from there, too?)
