How fast can chlamydia spread?

(long story short my gf cheated on me after living with me for 2 years) and this never really seated well but I told her I forgave her. Well I had an affair about 10 days ago with a girl who I found out had chlamydia which I also ended up getting. I also ended up having unprotected sex with my gf about 12 hours after I would have been infected. Could I have given it to her that fast?

Yes it would be possible. You should be tested.

That wasn't the question... I know for sure I had it. I'm wondering if It can be spread instantly the moment you become infected with it?

So as I said it would be possible to transmit that quick after. I have not heard that it would be likely because the bacteria still needs time to reproduce and grow the infection but still possible.
