How long after antibiotics can an infection be detected
I was being treated for prostitis. I was told it was most likely caused by chlamydia. While i have had unprotected sex this year, i find that unlikely. Regardless, i would have some people i would need to inform. When i called for my test results i was told that my sample had not been tested in time and that i needed to submit another one. At this point, i have already been taking antibiotics for 4 days (Doxycycline 2x daily). My question is: if i have a negative test result now; do i still need to inform my sexual partners of any risk, or would the test still be conclusive?
