How long does it take for chlamydia to go away on its own for Amalie

How long does it take for chlamydia to go away on its own for a male? I am currently taking a z pack for it but am curious of how long it can last in the body for a male that has it but is not symptomatic.

12-18 months at the most. And most of the time it will not go away on it's own.
