How long should I wait?

My partner was recently diagnosed with chlamydia after having symptoms and started treatment about 1 week ago, just to be on the safe side I spoke to my doctor and started my treatment today, although we should wait about a week or so before having any sexual activities my partner will not even kiss me because he believe's I can give it to him again. I never showed any symptoms to begin with so should I really wait the full 7 days before even getting a kiss from him??? Please advise

I've looked all over the internet and one common answer arose, kissing is not contagious unless you have sores in your mouth.

You can not pass chlamydia from kissing, no matter what. It is 7 days to have sex again.

If your partner had symptoms chances are this is a recent infection.
