I Have It? What to do?

Dear Doctor,

Hi, my name is DeShaun, and I am afraid that I have acquired Chlamydia.  In September, I had to go get tested for HIV and STD's, because it was a confidential letter sent to me.  The test was taken 09/23/09 and I got my results back 10/13/09, which all came back negative.  In May, I had unprotected sex with this male, because I am fully gay, and that caused me to take an exam, being that he came back negative.  On the 19th of October I gained a new relationship, however, we had sex on the 26th of October & the 1st of November.  On the 3rd Of November, I started to recognized odd symptoms.  As of today, all those symptoms became symptoms of Chlamydia: puss, stinging sensation during urine, fever symptoms, and diarrhea.  My boyfriend says that he was tested for these, and they came back negative.  However, I have been researching, and my notes say that if I get symptoms, they would come during the 1-3 weeks after exposure.  I myself, don't use condoms, even though I should.  Me knowing this is my fault, how can I get help when the next testing day is December 23, 09.  Because it's early, it can be cured, but December is too far, so what am I to do?

Go to a free std testing center in your area and get free confidential testing.  Chlamydia and gonorrhea can be confused and sometimes a person can be infected by both.  They are treated differently and for you to be cured correctly, you have no choice but to see a doctor for confirmation of what you suspect you have and take the prescribed treatment.  Other than that, your only other choice is to go to the ER which in the end will cost you well over $500 if you do not have insurance.

Today, my boyfriend got tested by his personal doctor, and the test yet again came up negative.  So tomorrow I am going to the clinic to get tested and I'm pretty sure they can help, hopefully.

What you have may be trichomonas too.  There is no reliable test for trich in men but bring it up and see what they say.  Trich is the only std that one can be infected other than sexual contact.
