I have chlamydia need help

I have chlamydia please help?
I got a call from my doctor this mornign saying that I have chlamydia. I got tested last december and I was clean. I got tested again last April because I was suspecting my boyfriend and I have chlamydia. when I confronted him he said that he had it more than a year ago but it was not well treated that's why he stil carries the bacteria. I have 3 questions
if he is telling the true how come I was clean last december when I frist got tested?
is it possible that a man can have chlamydia for that long with no symtoms (symptoms)?
could the first test results be wrong?

It is possible that he had it from over a year ago and you were recently infected. And he can go that long with no symptoms. False positives and negatives do happen but are rare and false positives happen more then false negatives.

I can't confirm that he cheated or not but his story about not properly treated unless he was never treated is suspect.
