Ok I went for my yearly check up about two weeks ago and got a call back yesterday from my doctor telling me that I tested positive for Chlamydia. Well, I had a baby a year ago and never tested positive with the routine
check ups. I also have had no symptoms for me to even think that I had anything wrong with me! My husband swears on his life that he has not cheated but I do know before we dated he was dating a girl that did have Chlamydia and he never got tested. Is it possible that it has laid dormant all these years and I'am now just infected?(we've been married 5 years) Or is it possible the results were false? Oh and I've read over the different types of symptoms and the only one I can relate to is pain during sex
It is possible, though not that often, to get a false result for various reasons. Chlamydia does not lay dormant. You have it or you don't. Maybe retest just to be sure. Have him test too. He should be happy to rule it out if he has nothing to hide. This way, you both can be sure and move forward.
