Once positive is positive forever?

Hi,
I recently had giving and receive oral sex with someone who had chlamydia outbreak in 2006. Apparently, he has no symptoms currently. Is it possible for him passing chlamydia to me?
Say one is completely cured of chlamydia. When he takes chlamydia test, will it still turn out positive?
If I got chlamydia, does that mean I would be definitely passing my chlamydia to my wife if I got married?

From 2006 has nothing to do with 2014. If you get chlamydia and are cured then you no longer have chlamydia.

Hi
Thank you for answering.
I thought chlamydia is like herpes that will forever live in the host's body.
